Be kind and forget about the white aperon-mustache “garçon” and Ediath Piaf music in the background (although sometimes…). This is a real french bar-à-vin, no chi-chis, it’s all about wine and “bonne bouffe”. The wine selection is long enough to enjoy yourself but not enough to get yourself lost in choice. A bottle would usually cost you around 35€. And in case of doubt, Pascaline will guide you through: she’s a real wine specialist and a soon-to-be oenologist. This time she recommended the Languedoc Pezenas and the Coteaux de Béziers as reds, and the for the white a Mâcon Fuissé. Bourgogne is definitely my favorite for whites.
To eat, the cook is serving innovative « parmentiers » (minced beef topped with a mashed potatoes in its original version – 12€), quiches (8,5€), or the indispensable cheese/delicatessen platter (25€, to share). There is usually not much left in our plates by the end of the evening… Not to mention that there is baguette!
Veggies, vegans, no-glu, goose protectors, please leave your table to those who really need it.
