At the corner of a little paved street, a Vespa is parked at the next street lamp, the sun is slowly going down on the white napperon of the table. Wake up, this is not Italy, you are at Seerose, between Englisher Garten and Münchener Freiheit, sorry.
Well not so sorry actually, you ended up in one of the best Italian restaurants in Munich. A beautiful setting, perfect decoration, nice service. What else? would George Clooney say. Delicious food of course!
Start by dipping some bread in some tasty olive oil. But don’t abuse it and keep your hunger for the primi piatti. On the menu this week: home made pasta al vongole (around 15€). Pasta is al dente and taste like wheet, the sauce was perfectly balanced with fresh tomatoes not overtaking the light taste of the clams. For the Secondi piatti you could either go for a grilled fish option (around 20€): nothing spectacular, but well grilled, and layed on fresh rucola, tomatoes and pine nuts. For carnivores, the lamb carré (around 20€) was far from disppointing: perfectly cooked with a crunchy skin but a smooth and pink flesh, with a reduction of meat juice, and a tasteful mash of veggies.
